So what is the new Thor Ragnarok haircut, how can you ask your barber for it and how can you style it yourself at home? The new Thor Ragnarok haircut is a textured crop. The crop has many different variations so, as always, it's best not to get too hung up on name's of cuts. The sides of the Thor haircut are kept relatively short, but are not taken too high. The top is all about texture and keeping it looking very messy and natural.
Especially if you have ultra straight hair, then your barber will have to add texture throughout. Let me start by saying that by no means is this a BAD look. However, in regards to the four total half-tied-back looks that we got for Thor, this one from Thor: The Dark World is definitely the most plain no Loki hair intertwined and leaves much to be desired.
A few more braids and this may have ranked higher. Thor as a character was new to big screens when Thor released in and therefore Marvel was still figuring out how to represent this character cinematically. For me, it comes down to lack of texture and being shoulder length. Some nice waves would have improved this, but much like with his hair in Thor: The Dark World , I was left wanting more. While I have a deeply profound appreciation for a good long-hair and beard combo as I have mentioned before, this hair has to be put in last place for hygiene reasons.
Who knows the last time Thor washed his hair and beard or used beard oil! It is definitely not healthy, the beard is more than likely incredibly rough, and you can probably find food crumbs in it. I would not recommend getting too close to this hair. So, there you have it! This site uses Akismet to reduce spam. Learn how your comment data is processed. Sign in. Forgot your password?

Thor is the one who wore his hair the longest, because of Norse tradition. Most fans assumed that when Chris Hemsworth introduced himself in the role of the God of Thunder, the long hair was really his own locks. It turns out this was never the case, according to official sources.
Later, he took the initiative and realized using real hair was a better plan for more legitimacy. Maybe Hemsworth worried wearing a wig in all his Thor movies would be surmised as a cop-out. Lots of opinions on Thor's short haircut today. According to Hemsworth in an Entertainment Tonight video and referenced on Inverse, it was a welcome change to have Thor sport a short haircut in Ragnarok.
The short hair was all due to the title character being a prisoner via Grandmaster Jeff Goldblum. Hemsworth said it felt better being able to film without the heavy hair extensions.
